At Renewed Mobility Physical Therapy we utilize Manual Therapy to treat the source of your problem.

What is Manual Therapy?

            • Restoring normal motion and function to a joint or muscle through specialized hands on techniques.

Why is this important?

            • Often the source of your injury is a limitation in normal joint, muscle, or soft tissue motion. This leads to movement compensations that develop into injuries over time. By restoring the normal joint and soft tissue mobility, we can address the source of your injury and get you back to your optimal function.

Manual Therapy in combination with Therapeutic Exercise to lengthen or strengthen involved muscles are the recipe for success for most orthopedic problems.

Why is this important?

              • Sometimes the source of an injury is too much motion in a joint. We'll use targeted exercises to stabilize the problem area.

Will these be exercises I can do at home?

              • We don't believe in wasting your time and money performing exercises you are easily able to do at home. However, it is our goal to train you how to properly perform the exercises to get your maximum benefit and avoid injury. Our goal is to teach you the tools to get yourself better.

Your evaluation will consist of Movement Analysis.

Why?

            • Because compensated movements that occur due to pain and/or joint and muscle dysfunction lead to exacerbation of problems over time. Retraining muscle memory is essential to restoring optimal function.

            • This is especially important if you are suffering from a recurrent injury. For example teaching you to jump, run, walk, bend, and lift in ways that are protective to your joints will keep your injury from coming back.
